Curriculum updates - Bridges Math

All teachers in K-Grade 5 are implementing Bridges this year so we align with CCS elementary schools. Teachers are currently involved in on-line training to boost their knowledge of teaching a new curriculum. Students in Grades 5 down to Kindergarten are learning common math vocabulary and routines as a result of an updated, consistent curriculum. 

Playground

Students and Families at SKD raised money last school year to add to the existing playground equipment. Mrs. Rutar surveyed every grade level to see what the students would like to see added to the playground. The top 3 playground pieces as determined by the survey from students were voted on and the pieces that were added were the winners of the vote. The pieces were added in June of 2024
