St. Mary Help of Christians: Fostering a Love of Literacy!

At St. Mary’s, we remain dedicated to cultivating a lifelong love for reading in our students. This fall, we are excited to continue nurturing a culture of literacy through several engaging initiatives. Our cross-classroom reading buddies program brings together students of different ages, encouraging mentorship and shared learning. Additionally, we are offering an after-school book club to offer students a space to explore new genres and discuss their favorite books. To further strengthen our reading community, we are hosting a community-wide book swap, inviting families and neighbors to share in the joy of reading together. Helping students not only improve their reading skills but also develop a passion for stories that will last a lifetime remains our goal.  Stay tuned for additional plans throughout the year.
