Cathedral High School

Student Life

Community at Cathedral

The education at Cathedral is a dynamic partnership between our excellent teachers and staff and our parents, faith leaders, academic counselors, and the students themselves as they contribute to building the most enriching experience possible. Our community generates strength, resilience, and support to all who are a part of it, and nurtures responsibility, respect, connections, and diverse learning experiences. In high school, students are challenged to form and develop their own sense of community, from collaborating with peers, to cheering each other on at events, to serving on the student council and more. In this way, Cathedral students get to know that they truly Belong.

Faith & Service Learning

Faith formation is integrally woven into the Cathedral experience. We reinforce a regular faith practice by beginning every day with prayer and celebrating the sacrament of the Eucharist at weekly mass. In coursework, programs and activities, students experience the beauty of the sacraments and practice living as Jesus taught.

Service Learning at Cathedral is a requirement to graduate as it reflects our core values of extending care to others and sharing our gifts. High school students develop and complete their own engaging and impactful projects in the community. They integrate their service learning experiences through written essays, discussions, and annual reflection retreats. Through this process, our students are encouraged to see the inherent value in everyone, extend and expand their blessings into the world, and spread their love and light in meaningful ways.

Opportunities to Shine

Students can discover and develop their God-given talents with the multitude of fine arts options, diverse activities, and renowned athletics programs available to pursue and explore. Rich in engagement from students, teachers, coaches, parents, and faith leaders alike, the Cathedral community supports, challenges, and celebrates everyone’s efforts and achievements. With over 50 clubs, sports, and activities to choose from, and a participation rate in extracurriculars of over 95%, every student is encouraged to be an integral part of the Crusader legacy.
