Discover Catholic Community Schools
Loving. Learning. Leading.
Our Purpose
Catholic Community Schools (CCS) is a Preschool-12 Catholic school system that is building a better future through an exceptional education grounded in Jesus Christ.
About Us
We are a unified Catholic school system of seven schools throughout Saint Cloud, Minnesota that provide a continuous educational journey from Preschool through 12th grade. CCS offers a comprehensive, holistic, faith-formed education that supports growth, development and moral formation at every stage of the journey. We are grounded in a culture of care and respect that reflects the teachings and example of Jesus. We proudly celebrate our Catholic faith, and we welcome others to learn, share and journey with us. CCS is committed to support all students as they pursue their purpose, passion, and potential.
The CCS educational experience is well-rounded, providing excellent academics with integrated emphasis on spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth. Our educational program focuses on growing knowledge, developing skills and forming a sense of personhood and values. Curriculum is much more than the content of coursework; It is delivered through remarkable instruction and a rich learning environment that shapes and encourages students to grow through practice and experience. Together we study, pray, celebrate and discover ourselves and one another. The distinctive CCS approach prepares students to participate in building a better future.
Our Educational Commitments
The CCS culture of care fosters a sense of ownership and belonging that supports strong relationships and a deep enthusiasm for learning. Our educational culture is shaped by three core commitments: Loving, Learning, Leading.
-
Loving
Every day, our students are welcomed into an environment of care. Our educators recognize and celebrate the innate goodness in whom they teach and with whom they work. They inspire our young people and each other to become the very best that they can be.
-
Learning
As much as we recognize and celebrate the achievements of our students, we know that the foundation of learning is a humble spirit and a continuous desire for new growth. This is a core conviction for our entire family of schools; we embrace and pursue an ever-greater potential to understand and serve the needs of our changing community and world.
-
Leading
The impact of our schools is measured over decades and generations. From the very beginning, Catholic education has been a foundation for community-building in Central Minnesota. Our students and educators alike have contributed knowledge, experiences and values that have, in turn, greatly blessed and shaped others. This is where we continue to ground our mission as we prepare for the next generation.
Who We Are
We are a community of educators, families, students, and faith leaders who are working together to enact our purpose: to build a better future through shaping and providing an exceptional education grounded in Jesus Christ. Each of our schools is grounded in this, contributing to our total impact in distinct ways as they live their charisms and exercise their missions.
Thank You
Hello! I’m David and I have been President of CCS since January 2024. I am passionate about growing the reach and impact of Catholic education here in central Minnesota. Having grown up in this community, I’m deeply committed to give back. For more than 20 years, I’ve been blessed to serve as a teacher, campus minister, administrator and consultant. As CCS looks to the future, I’m dedicated to energize our mission, support our teachers and staff, and make a Catholic education more vibrant and accessible for all students and families.
The landscape of PreK-12 education is full of changes and also things that are constant. While we integrate new advancements, research, technology and possibilities, we are always centered on establishing an exceptional learning experience that fosters personal and moral growth, and a commitment to service of others. The heart of Catholic education is an encounter with Jesus in studies, activities, and relationships. This is the student journey we celebrate from the very first day of school, to donning the cap and gown in our Catholic Community Schools system. We have walked with many generations, and this mission continues, ever strong!
In my free time, I love making music, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
—Mr. David Fremo, CCS President
