St. Joseph Catholic School: Having Fun to Learn and Grow

The Physical Education unit this Fall inspired healthy competition and fun in the spirit of the Olympics! Students were assigned to one of eight countries to compete for in multiple different sports activities, but the atmosphere was more camaraderie than competition. The emphasis of the unit was on sportsmanship, healthy attitudes, and movement. The Opening Ceremonies were a huge hit and set the stage for the students to get excited about participating.

Some of the activities were:

  • Opening Ceremony with an Olympic torch relay

  • Soccer

  • Field Hockey

  • Beach Volleyball

  • Track and Field

  • Swimming
