St. Katharine Drexel School: End-of-Year News

Summer 2026 CCS Newsletter

The end of the school year provided many opportunities for St. Katharine Drexel students and families to celebrate faith, service, and community together.

On April 1, students participated in a Day of Service, visiting sites throughout the St. Cloud area. Whether making blankets, singing, playing games, or simply spending time in conversation, students shared Christ's love through acts of kindness and service.

St. Katharine Drexel School also joyfully celebrated Loved Ones Day on May 1. Grandparents and other special loved ones joined students and staff for a school-wide Mass, activities, lunch, and a concert performed by students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. More than 200 guests attended the celebration, filling the school with smiles, laughter, and meaningful memories. Students and their loved ones enjoyed activities such as Bingo, animal-themed crafts and puzzles, and other hands-on projects throughout the day.

May was also a special time for our school community as our second grade students hosted a school-wide Mass in honor of their First Holy Communion. We were so proud of our second graders as they celebrated this important sacrament and look forward to watching them continue to grow in their faith. Later that evening, families gathered for Mayfest, our annual spring celebration featuring great food, games, inflatables, raffles, a silent auction, and live music from MN13.

As the school year came to a close, students enjoyed an exciting Field Day made possible by the many volunteers who helped create one of their favorite days of the year. We are grateful for everyone who contributed their time and energy to make the day such a success.

We also joyfully celebrated our 5th grade graduates as they concluded their elementary years and prepared for the transition to middle school. We are proud of their leadership, growth, and spirit, and we send them forward with gratitude and prayers for all that lies ahead.
