Learning, Service, Graduation and Celebration

Cathedral students finished the school year with experiences that challenged them, inspired them, and brought our community together.

The final days of school were full of fun, connection, and service. On the last day of school, the Middle School House activities were a vibrant celebration of creativity and teamwork. Students kicked off the festivities with an exciting lip sync battle themed around iconic 90s and 2000s boy bands, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm. In addition to the performances, they designed a unique mini golf course featuring eight holes, each inspired by a different city of their choosing, complete with informative paragraphs about their creations. This imaginative course allowed each house to navigate through the diverse landscapes of their peers’ ideas. To top off the day, students participated in community service, focusing on a spring cleanup that included neighborhoods around Cathedral such as Hester Park, The River Walk, and more. This initiative reinforced their commitment to making a positive impact in their community while beautifying the areas they cherish.

Cathedral high school students spent their last day of school participating in a day of service.  Beginning with Mass at 8:20 a.m., the day included team-building activities led by local faith formation ministers and Poverty Trail stations to help students better understand the realities of poverty and service. After lunch, students spent the afternoon serving throughout the community at a variety of sites including Catholic Charities, Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Habitat for Humanity, Place of Hope, and a fundraising car wash supporting Terebinth Refuge. Through hands-on work, meaningful conversations, and acts of compassion, students had the opportunity to live out their faith.

Our Crusader athletic programs also celebrated one of the most successful years in school history. Cathedral student-athletes earned a record number of state tournament appearances and celebrated multiple state championships while demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance. This year's senior class also included the highest number of three-sport athletes in school history, along with a record number of graduates continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

From athletics and fine arts to faith formation and student leadership, our students accomplished incredible things this spring. Visit Cathedral's Facebook page to see even more photos, stories, and highlights from another remarkable year.

During Graduation Week we celebrated the Class of 2026, a remarkable group of students known for their leadership, resilience, and commitment to one another. Throughout their years at Cathedral, these graduates excelled in academics, athletics, fine arts, service, and faith formation while building a community rooted in belonging. As they begin the next chapter of their journeys, we are grateful for the many ways they have strengthened Cathedral and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the years ahead.
