St. Joseph Catholic School – Advent Service, Celebration & School Spirit

Winter 2025 Newsletter

St. Joseph embraced the spirit of the season through learning, tradition, and joyful collaboration.

Academic & Holiday Highlights

Students participated in the annual school spelling bee, with top performers advancing to the CCS-wide competition. The Christmas cash raffle and a visit from St. Nicholas brought excitement and joy to the school community.

Advent Service & Celebration

A giant Christmas tree was placed in the playground and officially lit during the Joetown Winterwalk festival on December 5. During Advent, students prepared their hearts by sharing Christ’s love with others. Through their generosity, 90 gifts were collected and delivered to the Place of Hope for children in need.

Student Life & Partnerships

Preschoolers hosted their Thanksgiving Day Parade, creating balloons as part of a STEM project. Barnes & Noble book fairs provided additional support for school programs. Cathedral High School’s ASL 4 class performed The Grinch in sign language for K–1 students, including a mini lesson in sign language.

We are grateful for these moments that celebrate faith, service, and the saints who inspire students to live with kindness, charity, and joy.
