St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School is off to an amazing start! Welcoming many new students, launching the Crusader Way, implementing a new social studies curriculum, and settling into the rhythms of a new school year are just some of the exciting things happening at SEAS this fall. Classrooms are buzzing with energy as students form new friendships, explore new subjects, and discover new passions. Alongside these fresh academic opportunities, our dedicated teachers continue to learn through professional development designed to support student success.
The first weeks have also brought plenty of opportunities to gather, celebrate, and grow together as a school community.
Students, families, and staff celebrated the beginning of the year with a Back-to-School Ice Cream Social, where returning students reconnected and new families received a warm welcome to the school community. Thanks to the time and talents of our Home & School volunteers, it was a sweet way to begin a year of growing together.
At the first school Mass of the year, SEAS welcomed back Father Derek Wiechmann, who encouraged students to keep Jesus in their hearts and in everything they do. It was a meaningful opportunity to gather as a school and begin another year of growing together in faith.
This fall also marks the launch of The Crusader Way at SEAS. September begins with C – Courage, as students explore what it means to be courageous in everyday life. Courage isn't always found in big, heroic acts—it can be raising a hand to answer a difficult question, standing up for a classmate, or trying something new even when you're nervous. Students are learning that true courage comes from trusting in God's love and knowing He walks alongside them each day.
As SEAS embraces cherished traditions, new opportunities for learning, and a deepening partnership with schools across Catholic Community Schools, we look forward to a vibrant year of growing together in faith, knowledge, and character.
