Saint Francis Xavier - Back to School
fall 2026 CCS NewsletterNew Faces and New Friends and St. Francis Xavier
Fall at St. Francis Xavier is off to a wonderful start! Our hallways and classrooms are once again filled with learning, laughter, and the excitement that comes with a new school year. We have enjoyed welcoming new families and students, reconnecting with familiar faces, and watching our SFX students settle in and grow in so many ways.
Students have especially enjoyed getting to know our new phy-ed teacher, Mr. Presler, who has already brought plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and fun to the gym. SFX is also excited to launch a new Watch DOGS program, giving dads, grandpas, and other special men in our students’ lives the opportunity to be an active and visible part of the school community.
This year, students are also embracing the SFX school theme, “Do Small Things with Great Love,” inspired by Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Fifth graders introduced the theme to the school community by demonstrating how small acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day—from offering a smile or a helping hand to sharing a kind word or simply holding the door for someone.
Throughout the year, students will be encouraged to recognize the difference these everyday actions can make. Small acts, done with kindness and love, are one way students can strengthen their school community and put their faith into action.
As we move into fall, we look forward to continuing our SFX traditions, building strong relationships, and finding many ways—big and small—to live out our school theme together.
