St. Francis Xavier focuses on academic improvements.

Accreditation Self-Study, Curriculum Changes

Continuous improvement is always a goal at SFX. We conducted an extensive Minnesota Non-Public Schools Accrediting Association self-study accreditation during this past school year which will help guide our next strategic plan.

Curriculum changes included adopting a new language arts curriculum that is based on the science of reading and writing. We are optimistic these changes will help students gain a solid foundation and that we see growth in the reading and writing skills of all of our students.

Social Connections

A highlight of the year is having our annual Sedar meal before Easter and we were delighted the bishop could join us!

Our 5th grade-kindergarten buddies program continues to blossom. Strong relationships are forged as they start out each week together in prayer at the Monday morning meetings and attend Mass together. Our fifth graders love helping the kindergartners with math and other subjects. Of course, the kindergartners adore their “big” friends and spending time together.

Four-Star Parent Aware Preschool

Once again, we earned the highest four-star rating from Parent Aware, aiding families in finding quality child care and early education for academic and life success.
