Saint Francis Xavier School – Advent Reflections of Faith, Peace & Service

Winter 2025 Newsletter

This Advent season, Saint Francis Xavier focused on celebration, service, and faith formation.

Advent Prayer & Faith Formation

Fifth graders led the school in an Advent prayer service celebrating the second week of Advent. The community reflected on readings about Mary and Joseph preparing for Jesus’ birth. Students also reflected on the Advent theme of peace, finding moments to pause, breathe, and prepare their hearts amid the busyness of the season.

Christmas Program

Students shared the joy of the season through music and performance on December 16.

Service Learning

Third graders partnered with Anna Marie’s Alliance, completing extra chores at home to earn money to purchase gifts for those in need, then personally delivering the gifts—an impactful lesson in generosity and compassion.

Community Event: Barnes & Noble Book Fair

Families supported SFX during the December 1 Book Fair, which included mystery readers, crafts to take home, and visits with favorite teachers and staff.

Looking Ahead

Planning is underway for SFX Rocks on February 7, featuring live entertainment by Andy Austin, silent and live auctions, food, and fellowship.

We hope families enjoyed a season filled with love, laughter, and God’s blessings, carrying them into the new year.
