President’s Message: United in Purpose

CCS President David Fremo, Ed.D.

At the close of a remarkable school year, I am especially grateful for the many signs of unity across Catholic Community Schools.

Our theme this year, “In the One, We Are One,” comes from the motto of Pope Leo XIV. It has been a fitting theme for us as the St. Cloud area PK–12 Catholic school system. Each of our school communities has its own history, personality, traditions, and spirit. That is part of what makes CCS so strong. At the same time, we are joined together by a common purpose: building a better future through an exceptional education grounded in Jesus Christ.

Pope Leo has also reminded the Church that “Love and unity” belong together in the work entrusted to us. I see that unity in the good work of our principals, teachers, and staff, who bring our common purpose to life every day. I see it in our students as they learn, pray, perform, compete, celebrate, and grow. I hear it in the words of our parents, grandparents, pastors, parish partners, and benefactors, who support our schools in so many generous ways.

This graduation season was especially meaningful for me, as I completed my Doctor of Education degree alongside the many students reaching milestones across Catholic Community Schools.

The good news shared in this newsletter is only a small reflection of the life, energy, and faith present in our schools every day. I am grateful for all that has been accomplished this year, and I look ahead with confidence and hope for what is to come.

Thank you for a wonderful school year. As summer begins, I wish our families, employees, and friends a season of rest, renewal, and joy.

Yours,
David Fremo, Ed.D.
