Cathedral School: READY, SET, GROW! New School Year, New Experiences.
We welcomed 92 new 6th graders into Cathedral this August, a 20% increase on the previous year. Fall is an exciting time for athletics and activities at Cathedral, many students start the school year off on the field, court, pitch, the course, or in the pool, 60% of our total student population participate in Fall sports.
Our Crusader Youth Sports grows each year with 153 enrolled in Crusader Youth Sports this fall, and we have 59 students in a club or activity so far.
CCS Community Comes Together - HOCO 2024
Our Schools kicked off Homecoming with fun dress up days, pep fest and mini pep fest at each of our Elementary Schools.
HOCO weekend brought our school communities together. Tailgating was a hit for all! Our CCS families gathered to celebrate the past, present and future crusaders before cheering on the Football team. The homecoming football game delivered a 21-7 win over Royalton at Clemen’s Stadium, holding the Royals scoreless until the final minute. The Crusaders are 4-2 on the season – their best start in 14 years!
Our High Schoolers had a great time at their Homecoming Dance. Everyone was dressed so nice and it was great night of memory making.
Fall Athletics Highlights
Football is off to its best start in 14 seasons; both the boys and girls soccer teams are ranked in the top ten in the state; The defending state champ girls cross-country team is ranked #1 in the state; and the girls tennis team is playing in the section semifinals on Friday, October 11th.
The Cathedral Fall Play “Radium Girls” will take the stage October 24th- 26th
This is a compelling play inspired by true events from the 1920s. It centers on a dial painter at the U.S. Radium Corporation, where a group confront the company over the devastating health effects caused by the radium-infused paint being used. This fast-paced drama educates and captivates audiences with a dynamic ensemble of 20 actors, many of whom take on multiple roles.
