Cathedral Graduation Class of 2025!
Graduation week was filled with joy, celebration, and tearful goodbyes as the Class of 2025 stepped into the next chapter of their lives.
With inspiring words from peers and mentors, and the love of friends and family, the graduates were sent off with confidence in the impact they are ready to make in the world.
At the Baccalaureate Mass, Shelly Flynn ‘80, who recently retired as Cathedral’s campus minister, shared the wisdom that grace carries us through all times, opening our hearts to others.
During the graduation ceremony, Co-Salutatorians Isabella Heen and Kendall Heydman, along with Valedictorian Daniel Lutgen, offered heartfelt reflections and advice to their fellow graduates. From living in the moment, to considering what makes life truly meaningful, to facing change with courage and determination, these young leaders inspired us all. We are so proud of them—and of the entire graduating class.
The Commencement address was delivered by Sean Leary ‘01, who shared his story of adapting to life after a car accident and overcoming challenges with the help of friends, loved ones, faith, and purpose. “Life will test you,” he said, “but those trials are where courage is born. Lead with compassion. Nurture your relationships. Dream boldly. And when you build something meaningful, bring others with you.” What a blessing to hear his remarkable story and share in the excitement for the future—especially as our seniors step into the unknown of their own.
From the Cathedral Community
With full hearts and deep gratitude, we say goodbye to an extraordinary group of young people. We’ve watched you grow in wisdom, strength, and character. You will be missed—but more than that, you will be cheered on with love, pride, and great expectation for all that lies ahead.
