All-School Spelling Bee
SPRING 2026 CCS NEWSLETTER
On January 13, Catholic Community Schools held the annual All-School Spelling Bee, an exciting event with a more than 40-year history in our schools. Each CCS school sent eager students to compete—three fifth graders from each of the five elementary schools and three middle school students from Cathedral in grades 6–8.
Hosted at Cathedral, the event was livestreamed so students across the system could watch and cheer on their classmates. Contestants showcased impressive spelling skills, competing with confidence, focus, and school spirit.
Congratulations to this year’s top finishers:
1st Place: St. Joseph Catholic School (5th Grade)
2nd Place: St. Katharine Drexel (5th Grade)
3rd Place: Cathedral (6th Grade)
We are incredibly proud of all the participants who represented their schools with such enthusiasm and determination. Their hard work and courage made this year’s spelling bee another memorable chapter in this long-standing CCS tradition.
